“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.

Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.

HBO

While the name Angus Cloud may not be as well-known as that of his Euphoria co-star Zendaya, the actor was one of the many young stars of the HBO series that were really making their mark in Hollywood and had a huge amount of potential.

Cloud was born in Oakland, California in 1998, but has many more family ties to the Republic of Ireland. In one of those coincidences of life, the actor attended the School of Production Design at Oakland School for the Arts and attended with none other than his future Euphoria co-star Zendaya. It was while working in a restaurant in Brooklyn, New York that he was spotted by a casting director for the role of Fezco in the HBO series.

Cloud made his screen debut in the series in 2019, and as well as appearing in a handful of music videos since, he made his feature film debut in Mikey Alfred’s comedy drama North Hollywood in 2021. He then appeared earlier this year in The Line, which made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival, and was also set to star in the new untitled Universal Monsters movie directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, which was filming when the actor’s strike came into effect. The actor also has two other movies, Freaky Tales and Your Lucky Day, currently in post-production, which will now stand as the final movies in a promising career cut short.
